Concept — Three-layer Architecture

The LLM Wiki consists of three layers: immutable raw sources, the LLM-owned wiki, and a schema contract that keeps the LLM disciplined.

1. Raw sources

The collection of source documents you curate — articles, papers, images, data files. Immutable: the LLM reads only, never modifies. This is the single source of truth.

  • Location in this wiki: raw/ (subdivided by type into raw/articles/, raw/papers/, etc.).
  • Naming convention: YYYY-MM-DD_source-title.md.

2. The wiki

The LLM-generated markdown corpus: summaries, entity pages, concept pages, comparisons, overviews, syntheses. The LLM fully owns this layer — creating pages, updating them when new sources arrive, maintaining cross-references, keeping consistency. You read it; the LLM writes it.

  • This wiki is divided into: sources/ (source summaries), concepts/ (concepts), entities/ (entities), topics/ (topics), 00_Meta/ (governance).

3. The schema

A contract file that tells the LLM how to structure the wiki, what the conventions are, and the ingest/query/lint workflow. This is the key configuration that turns the LLM into a disciplined wiki maintainer rather than a general-purpose chatbox. You and the LLM evolve it together over time.

  • This wiki’s schema is AGENTS (AGENTS.md).
  • There are calls in the comments section for the schema to be not just prose but typed + validated (see schema-as-contract).
